Katerina Mazzucchelli

Katerina Mazzucchelli is Research and Editorial Associate at Neo Asteri. Her research-led publications examine the policy, legal, and strategic questions now facing the space sector, drawing on a background in space governance analysis and policy research, and she has a specific interest in orbital infrastructure dependencies. Neo Asteri powers the content and policy insight behind Counterspace Expo, supporting a deeper conversation on space resilience and security through articles, op-eds, interviews, and reports. Her think tank background as a policy analyst specialising in the space sector spans policy briefs, fact files, and briefing notes on space situational awareness and space governance. She also has experience programming podcasts on international risk featuring leading experts, covering topics such as space-based earth data, space-enabled maritime intelligence, interference with space systems, and post-quantum cryptography. Prior to this, she was in the custom events programming team at Economist Impact, the events division of The Economist Group, participating in the programming of events such as World Economic Forum Davos, Culture Summit Abu Dhabi, and the World Ocean Initiative, and worked as a project coordinator at Informa. She holds an MSc in Politics and Communication from the London School of Economics (Distinction) and a BSc in International Political Economy from City, University of London. Her analytical approach brings together international relations theory, political economy, political communication, and security studies.
